To me, Curtin is about the people
After completing a Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies at W.A.I.T., I began working at Curtin as a Librarian in June 1987.
I was always interested in IT, which is perhaps how I became involved with working on websites way back in the day when it all started. Curtin has been a forerunner in embracing new technologies, and at the Library we were encouraged to think about how these new technologies might be used to improve and expand the Library experience.
Curtin gave me the opportunity to do some further study, so I completed a Graduate Diploma in Computing and moved into Curtin IT in 2008. I have been here ever since – I am now working in the area of Enterprise Application Support as an IT Support Specialist.
To me, Curtin is about the people and I have always been, and will continue to be grateful to my Curtin colleagues who have inspired me and encouraged me to move forward.
