When I first came to WAIT as a 16 year old girl in 1970, I was ready for adventure

When I first came to WAIT as a 16 year old girl in 1970, I was ready for adventure, and my introduction to the Art and Design Department was truly that, as I found when entering the studio natural life drawings taking place. During my first ten years here I grew up just as the young students did in those carefree fun times. After a break to start my own family, I returned to WAIT which had also grown up in respect of the diversity of study offerings. Now, having worked at WAIT/Curtin for almost 32 years I can reflect upon many happy memories and friends I have made in the various roles in which I have worked. No longer the 16 year old girl, I now bring a more mature outlook and nurturing ways to the students I advise and support, and professional presence to the responsibilities I fulfil in assisting Curtin staff. Curtin has certainly been the best place to work 🙂
