The Appeal is an opportunity for you to reconnect with your university, to hear its news and achievements from those closest to the action – Curtin’s students – and offers an invitation to be part of Curtin’s philanthropic story.

Funds raised in the Alumni Annual Appeal will create new opportunities for those students with boundless potential but limited means, and will help get innovative ideas off the ground.

100% of your donation will be used for the cause you choose to support, and we’ll keep you informed of the impact of your gift. Gifts to the Appeal are tax-deductible.

John Curtin Gallery

The John Curtin Gallery is one of Western Australia’s major public art galleries and one of the largest university galleries in the country. Over the past 40 years the John Curtin Gallery has steadily grown its collection, and is now custodian to a number valuable cultural works, including The Herbert Mayer Collection of Carrolup Artwork (created by Aboriginal children of the Stolen Generation at the Carrolup Native Settlement School in the late 1940s).

Donations to the Gallery enhance the collection even further, and help us preserve these treasured cultural resources. Your support will ensure that it continues to provide opportunities for the community to experience and critically engage with the visual culture of our time.

WAIT Alumni Scholarships

When the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) first opened its doors in 1967, higher education in Australia was transformed. WAIT provided students with access to tertiary education that enabled them to go on to make fundamental contributions to our communities.

Today Curtin is proud to continue this legacy of opportunity, and we invite our valued alumni to join our commitment. The WAIT Alumni Scholarships campaign aims to build a $2 million endowment to provide scholarships to students that enable them to achieve their educational dreams.

Your donation will assist students who are experiencing genuine financial hardship. Currently more than 13 per cent of Curtin’s students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and many rely on scholarships to complete their studies.

Your support will encourage best and brightest minds to study at Curtin, and so continue the WAIT tradition of excellence.

Give to Change – Staff giving

Staff already play an integral part in enriching the lives of Curtin students. Give to Change provides staff with the opportunity to further enhance this.

Curtin’s mission to change minds, lives and the world through teaching and research. We aim to provide education to anyone who seeks it, though unfortunately some people who wish to attend Curtin may not have the financial means to do so. Through Give to Change, Curtin staff help address this. To date, Curtin staff have provided much needed financial and educational assistance to over 50 students, which has bettered their university experience and enhanced their overall wellbeing.

To increase the impact of staff gifts, the University matches all staff and Council members’ gifts, doubling the impact. Please consider joining the Give to Change community and seeing how your support could change the lives of Curtin students.
